The Primaloft WIND hoodie is a lightweight, Primaloft, semi-warm jacket with adjustable warmth. It integrates a well enveloping, non-removable hood (which can come under the helmet) and thumb holes for flying hands up. It has been developed to offer a good thermal and windproof comfort in paragliding, but also in the mountains, thanks to a synthetic insulation (double layer on the front face), without feathers.
The insulation has the advantage that it is not sensitive to rain. It does not lose its warmth, even when wet (unlike down which, once soaked, loses its volume and therefore its insulating qualities). However, it is not a rain jacket (not waterproof).
It integrates 4 pockets including one inside zipped on the heart. Under the arms, a zip allows you to modulate your heat.
The Wind jacket is also very useful also in the off-season, being more robust and less fragile than a classic down jacket. However, it remains less warm and insulating than a Thermik light or Reverse jacket.
This jacket is delivered in its small, compact storage bag, and has both Windsriders and Sick and Wrong logos on the chest.
“A great all round insulating jacket, complete with Sick and Wrong Logos! Primaloft synthetic insulation makes this an extremely versatile go-to jacket, especially in unpredictable mountain conditions. So good we even use them for our staff uniforms!”
